Since it is such a large area, I have decided to break this post up by restaurant location, instead of price like I usually do.Īfter researching extensively for the best Fort Myers restaurants, we embarked on the trip with a large list of options. Eleven of the spots we visited made this list and three did not. The rest of the thirty best restaurants here include places with high reviews and personal recommendations. So, though I have not tried every restaurant on this list, I can assure you that locals and tourists agree that these are some of the best places to eat in the Fort Myers area! Fort Myers River Districtīy far our favorite area to eat on this trip was the downtown Fort Myers area. This is the riverside section of Fort Myers where you can find trendy spots and a variety of cuisines. Here are the ten best Fort Myers restaurants in the River District! Izzy’s Fish and Oyster We enjoyed three different restaurants, two breweriesand one coffee shop in this area, so there is plenty to explore! Though some of the restaurants downtown were upscale, the majority were pretty affordable. Our first, and possibly favorite meal of the trip, was at Izzy’s Fish and Oyster. This spot had me at the nautical atmosphere and the multitudes of seafood options. The food lived up to the expectation too as we loved the succulent oysters, a savory lobster roll and a zesty ceviche. We ended up coming here for lunch, when there was a plethora of lunch deals, but it is also the perfect date night spot! This is one Fort Myers restaurant you can’t miss!įor a break from the seafood and beachy spots, check out The Lodge in Downtown Fort Myers. This unique restaurant has a mountain theme, complete with a rustic vibe and barbecue.

They offer all your classic platters or pork, brisket wings and more with plenty of beer and cocktails to go with. It’s very affordable, as the portions are plentiful and most options are under $15. Check out their daily specials for lunch or dinner for $10 or just come for happy hour drinks and a faux mountain view. The Gathering PlaceĪbout 15 minutes south of the Fort Myers Riverside district, you can find a true hidden gem, The Gathering Place. This cozy café is well worth going out of the way for, as locals rave about their sandwiches and coconut rice bowls. This Fort Myers, Florida spot has Cuban and Belizean influence with a twist, so don’t hesitate the order the Cuban sandwich or the BBQ pork and eggs. Most entrees are under $10 so you can leave with a happy stomach and wallet! Green Cup CaféĪnother standout on our trip was Green Cup Café, a mostly vegan restaurant. This botanical café had a variety of sandwiches and salads with a vegan twist. They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with all sorts of tasty, plant-based smoothies, bowls and sandwiches! I got an Oyster Mushroom Gyro that was to die for and Andrew devoured every bite of his Black Bean Crunchwrap Supreme. Most people reading this guide are probably going on vacation to Fort Myers, which is perfect for visiting FK Your Diet.
